Kate Brunner QC
Kate Brunner QC is Leader of Circuit with effect from 1 October 2019. Kate was called to the Bar in 1997 (Inner Temple) and practises from Albion Chambers, Bristol. She practises in crime, regulatory work, child law, and inquests. She took silk in 2015 and in the same year set up the Western Circuit Women’s Forum.
Bathsheba Cassel of Walnut House, Exeter, is the Circuit Junior with responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Circuit and its financial affairs . Bathsheba was called to the Bar in 2005 (Inner Temple) and practises in crime. She was the Area Bar Junior for Devon and Cornwall between 2014 and 2017.
Emma Martin of Albion Chambers Taunton is wine treasurer with responsibility for all social events on Circuit. Emma was called to the Bar in 2002 (Lincoln’s Inn) and joined Circuit in 2004. She practises in crime including courts martial.
