Dear Circuiteer

It is just three years since I left the Circuit and I hope you won’t mind me taking a few minutes to tell you how grateful I am to the Circuiteers who were so generous to me.

As well as working as Secretary to the wedding venue and Historical House and Gardens at Houghton Lodge Gardens, I have five, soon to be six, grandchildren to be available for. The garden at home is now crammed with rose bushes, including the “Warm Wishes” rose trees that the Circuit gave me and I still sit on various committees.

I volunteer for the Bruce Branch, a canal boat Trust which specialises in day-trips and weekly holidays for the disabled, elderly and disadvantaged to have the enjoyment of the Kennet and Avon canal. The last part of my leaving gift was spent this month to gain my Helmsman’s Certification in order to gain my skipper’s licence.

I think of you all and thank you all for 21 years of an incredible time with the Circuit. Tea is always available at my house and as I always said, if you are passing - don’t.

Much love

Gill
